Europe Day
ESN took part in Europe Day on 9 May to promote the Europe Direct services which it delivers for DG COMM. As well as operating the Europe Direct Contact Centre – a free, multilingual information service on EU matters – ESN manages the information, communication and promotion services of the Europe Direct Communication Networks. ESN's stand in the Commission's Berlaymont building was very popular with the general public, receiving over 1500 visitors, 1000 of whom took part in a quiz about the EU.
The European Social Fund benefits individuals
ESN created 54 posters illustrating the interviews that ESN journalists carried out with beneficiaries of the European Social Fund from across the EU Member States. These posters are currently on display outside the European Commission’s Berlaymont building.
Toulouse Space Show and the European Earth Observation Programme
ESN organised and implemented the presence of the European Earth Observation Programme (GMES) at the Toulouse Space Show 8-11 June 2010. ESN designed and built the stand and roll-up used by GMES at the Space Show. We also edited and produced the DVD displayed at the Space Show to promote the work of the GMES.
