ESN stage managed an EU-wide poster competition for budding graphic artists to help raise awareness of road safety among young people. The road safety unit of the European Commission's DG MOVE hosted the '4th European Youth Forum for Road Safety' in Brussels. Delegates at the Forum were mostly young people who have been involved in road safety initiatives or activities in their Member States. Young graphic designers – students and/or under 25s – were invited to submit a poster design which captured the essence of the campaign. ESN helped throughout the competition, including the gathering and first-round selection of 60 entries. These candidates were then submitted to a panel, made up of DG MOVE representatives, who were asked to identify 10 posters to be published on the competition website. These 10 finalists were then voted on by EU citizens through the platform developed by ESN to reveal the three winners. The first prize winner, Matyaš Mašin (CZ), received €2,000, and the two runners-up, Lukasz Kaliński (PL) and Yoana Staneva (BG), each received €1,000.
