As a web integrator in ESN’s Web Department, you will be responsible for various website updates and preparatory tasks that will range from preparing web graphics and texts to editing content for the actual content integration. You will use your HTML and CSS expertise to integrate different types of digital multimedia elements and texts into various kinds of websites.
In addition, you will be responsible for website maintenance and will keep track of website evolution from the first launch to the regular updates. In collaboration with other web integrators, you will apply the QA procedures ensuring the highest quality before the site updates go live.
Depending on the technologies involved in the websites you are in charge of, you will either work with WYSIWYG editors, CMS tools or with HTML code developed ‘from scratch’.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position, as well as a strong knowledge of HTML.
You should also have a good working knowledge of how CSS can enrich the presentation of multimedia content to surfers. Furthermore, you must be aware of the compatibility of HTML with different browsers and able to overcome any problems that might be encountered.
You must be able to carry out the HTML cutting of graphical mock-ups created by the web designers according to the most recent standards recommended by the W3C and WAI accessibility rules.
You are an excellent communicator who is able to work in a production team to accomplish web integration according to tight deadlines. A sense of humour is appreciated.
