Mission

EURESIN is seeking an energetic professional with at least 2-3 years of experience in web technology to support the EUROPA webmasters in the field of web analytics.

Profile

  • First line support to users of the web statistics tool
  • Configuration and maintenance of the web statistics tool
  • Interpretation of results of the web statistics tool
  • Selection of optimal indicators
  • Advice to users in relation to indicators and results

Skills

  • Knowledge of Internet protocols and standards
  • Knowledge of web analytics metrics
  • Knowledge of the SAS BI and SAS WA environment is an asset
  • Knowledge of major statistics tools
  • Ability to work in an independent and pro-active way

Translation Coordinator

Mission

As Translation Coordinator you will be in charge of managing several tasks related to translations: Organising the translation workload (analysing translation requests, sending requests to external translators/revisers, preparing purchase orders...)

  • Checking linguistic versions of print and web publications

  • Giving feedback to translators
  • Following up clients' feedback

Profile

  • MA in translation or related studies

Senior Writer/Editor

After 25 years in the communication and publishing business, European Service Network (ESN) has become the leading information service provider to the European institutions. Once again we are looking for senior journalists to expand our in-house editorial team.

Profile

  • Native English speaker with a minimum of five years’ experience in writing and editing printed and/or web publications;
  • Solid background and writing experience in one or more of the following fields: natural or life sciences, R&D, ICT, employment, agriculture, industry and SMEs, development and regional issues; experience of writing about EU issues would be an advantage;
  • Motivated candidate capable of supporting ESN’s editorial and production teams, and liaising with clients and freelance journalists to produce high-quality printed, web and audio-visual communication products for the European Commission, other EU institutions and agencies, and private-sector organisations;
  • Knowledge of French an advantage;
  • Flexible in-house hours, based in Brussels.

EU Affairs Junior Communication Officer

Mission

ESN operates the Europe Direct Contact Centre (EDCC) for the Directorate-General Communication of the European Commission. The EDCC answers questions on EU affairs from citizens and businesses across the EU. Enquiries may be submitted in any of the EU’s 23 official languages, and may address any aspect of its institutions, policies and programmes.
The responsibilities of EDCC Communication Officers are:

  • To receive, process and respond to enquiries on EU affairs and policies from European citizens and businesses by telephone, email and web-chat
  • To research and draft answers to more complex enquiries, under the guidance and with the support of experienced supervisors (Information Officers)

We offer a full-time permanent contract.

Profile

Candidate must have a Master’s degree in European studies, political sciences or international law.
We are currently looking for:

  • A native Czech speaker with perfect English and excellent command of another EU language (Slovak is an advantage)
  • A bilingual Lithuanian/Latvian with perfect English
  • An Italian speaker with perfect English and an excellent command of Spanish or French.
